(soon available as an Amazon Kindle KDP title)
On the roaring trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, commodities trader Jack Harris has built a reputation for acting seconds before everyone else. His instincts appear infallible—but his success depends on confidential USDA crop reports supplied by Tom Wheeler, a government analyst willing to sell embargoed information for a share of the profits.
When SEC investigator Amanda Patel discovers a pattern of perfectly timed trades preceding major agricultural reports, she begins tracing the flow of information, money, and influence behind Jack’s extraordinary winning streak. As the evidence mounts, Jack ignores the warnings of his attorney, Rachel Lee, and stakes everything on one final trade.
To prove the leak, Amanda’s team devises a controlled operation involving a false soybean-yield figure known only to investigators. When that exact number reaches the trading floor, Jack must decide whether to trust the source that made him rich—or recognize that his celebrated edge has become evidence.
Jack’s attorney, Rachel Lee, is portrayed by Hollywood actress Kathy Garver, best known for playing Cissy in the classic 1960s–1970s television series Family Affair.
The Crop Report is a completed 119-page adult graphic novel—a financial crime thriller about ambition, privileged information, and the moment confidence becomes self-incrimination.
